Description
The Electrical Engineering programme is the study and application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. Electrical Engineers study the uses of electricity and equipment for power generation and distribution. This dynamic field involves the design of electronic circuits and the development of systems such as aircraft autopilots and state-of-the-art computers. Micro-electronics, the manufacture and repairs of products like computers, microwaves and control systems, also fall within the ambit of Electrical Engineering.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- N3 Certificate or
- Grade 12 (NSC), or Senior Certificate – with Mathematics and Science
FULL-TIME DURATION
12 months
CERTIFICATION
- Certificate and diplomas are issued by the Department of Higher Education and Training.
- All qualifications are nationally recognized by industry
Upon successful completion of this programme, learners will receive a:
National Certificate at each level N4, N5, N6 (NQF4-6)
National N Diploma in Electrical Engineering (on completion of N4-N6 and 18 months of in-service training)
