This organic linen blanket uses a lot of raw materials (you will notice how heavy it is; we do not use synthetic filler materials to pad our truly natural 100% hemp knit and we continue to process our organic linen and hemp naturally using traditional methods of dew-retting in the fields (this costs a lot more) and mechanically combing the baste fibers into beautiful long strands (all done by us in Europe, not China or India), unlike how it's mostly done now by other manufacturers using acids and chemicals to boil down the hemp and linen, then spinning the resulting broken down fibers like cotton (which makes it cheap to make for homogenized mass production introduces many potentially toxic chemicals into the process). Please treat this special product gently so that you can continue to enjoy it for years to come. It is so beautiful and unique; it's our favorite blanket that we have been making since 1997. Wash on gentle cycle with like colors (preferably in a laundry mesh bag to protect it) using a mild biodegradable detergent. Lay flat to dry and steam iron at linen setting, if desired. Sometimes we tumble our blankets on low / air cycle when it's almost dry to fluff it up a bit. But in general, dryers are not good for natural baste fibers like hemp and linen because it leads to shrinkage and shedding and wears down the integrity of the natural product. | Throw, Twin, Full, Queen, and King sizes.
