Maillon Rapide Quick Link, Long Oval GO, Plated Steel

The Large Opening EN Maillon Rapide quick link is an alternative to the Standard EN Maillon Rapide quick link with identical purposes, for an easier connection of wider parts. Available in various sizes and materials.

Maillon Rapide quick links used as a connector on PPE against falls from heights, mountaineering and rock climbing, are distinguished by a specific marking in relation with the following European standards:

• EN 362: 2004 standard – industrial PPE: fall arrest systems, work restraint, work positioning, rope access.
• EN 12275: 2013 standard – mountaineering PPE: rock climbing, climbing walls, caving, canyoning.

Breaking strength in kN is identified on Péguet Maillon Rapide quick links meant for application in PPE. Breaking strength must not be under 25 kN. When used in PPE, the breaking strength engraved on the Maillon Rapide quick links clearly identifies the maximum load. The product range for PPE in mountaineering also mention the UIAA label.
