Manfrotto MKONEA-500X ONE AL Tripod Kit

The Manfrotto MKONEC-500X ONE AL Tripod Kit contains both the One Aluminum Tripod and the 500X Hybrid Tripod head.

The Manfrotto ONE Tripod is a hybrid system that is optimized for both still and video usage, and incorporates the XCHANGE mounting system that allows for quick and easy swapping of heads and other accessories. Its legs are also different: they are not round, but sort of oval, to provide the stability required of both stills and video and the narrowest segment is nearest the spider. Their XTEND leg lock mechanism enables simultaneous adjustment of all three leg extensions in a single action from the upper end of the legs - you flip open the lock on each leg and then extend or contract the legs simultaneously by lifting or lowering the spider or the head.As with the 055 and 190 Pro aluminum legs, the center column can be flipped to horizontal, or the built-in ball in the spider can be used to level the head to match the horizon with the flip of a lever. The center column has a groove that keeps it from rotating when raised or lowered, and can also be removed and replaced with a short column for ground level shooting.

The included 500X Fluid Video Head does everything you need for either stills or video. The fluid drag system enables smooth motion in both pan and tilt directions. The tilt direction also benefits from a selectable counterbalance for optical systems up to 5.3 pounds. A hinged plate can flip between landscape and portrait orientations for those using cameras whose lenses do not have a rotational lens mount. Its sliding mount socket is Arca-Swiss compatible, and sliding plate with 1/4-20 mount screw is included if your optic requires one.

Both tripod kits include a carrying bag.
