Create striking salt and pepper mills with this Movingui (Distemonanthus benthamianus) Blank Set, featuring two generously sized 3" x 3" x 12" turning blanks. Movingui ranges in color from yellow to orangish brown, deepening naturally over time to a rich, warm tone.
This African hardwood is generally easy to work and turns well, though its naturally occurring silica content (up to 1.3%) can cause moderate to heavy tool dulling—making sharp tools and regular honing essential. With excellent density and visual appeal, these blanks provide ample material for crafting custom salt and pepper mills using Woodcraft turning kits.
